Stamping with Friends Blog Hop favourite stamp set or suite from the Jul-Dec Mini Catalog

This week we are to showcase our favourite stamp set or suite, but I featured my favourite last time - The Christmas Barn! But being the former farm girl I am, I chose as second the Gathered Wheat Bundle. I need to put both of those on a card or scrapbook page, really, but for now I have several cards I made from this bundle The first I will show you is a 3D scene using the diorama dies and the Tree Rings Hybrid Embossing Folder and uses the Sale-a-bration items Rings of Love Designer Series Paper. If you get your order in before the end of August, you can also receive the Brushed Metallic cardstock for free as well.

Piece 2-1/2”x1-1/4 to stamp greeting

Brushed Metallic Gold for first layer 3-1/2” x 4” and extra pieces to cut wheat heads

Designer Series Paper for second layer 5-1/2” x 4-1/4”

Crumb Cake Cardstock for third layer 5-1/2” x 4-1/4”

Soft Suede Cardstock for top layer 5-1/2” x 4-1/4”

INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1: Score and fold the Daffodil Delight cardstock base.

Step 2: Stamp the Wheat Sheaf onto the Daffodil square piece with Crushed Curry ink. I found the Stamparatus very helpful to get a detailed image since it took more than once to get the coverage I wanted. Die-cut the sheaf.

Step 3: Stamp greeting and cut out with scissors.

Step 4: Emboss the Soft Suede and the Crumb Cake cardstock with the Tree Rings Hybrid Embossing Folder

Step 5: Die-cut the Soft Suede embossed cardstock with the largest of the Diorama Dies. Die-cut the Crumb Cake embossed cardstock with one of the smaller diorama dies. I found using the next smallest did not show off as much of the piece as I wished so I would go to the next one after that. Die-cut the designer series paper with the second smallest die. (Save all the inside pieces for another card!)

Step 6: Line up the die-cut openings the way you wish to frame your card. Then glue the Brushed Metallic piece to the base ensuring it will cover the opening of the die-cut designer series paper.

Step 7: Layer the diorama die-cut pieces over each other using glue or dimensionals to pop them up.

Step 8: With dimensionals adhere the wheat sheaf in the centre of the opening.

Step 9: Glue the greeting on the bottom of the top die-cut piece.

Step 10: Die-cut some wheat heads from the brushed metallic cardstock and glue these tucked between the layers.

Step 11: Embellish with the Solid Faceted Gems

You can find the supplies for this project on Heritage Stamp Arts website: MyProjects at https://s.tamp.in/Eeli_C

I made two other cards with the wheat stalks. For the first one, I created a watercolour wash background, stamped the stalks a couple of times. Cut it into thirds and glued over a Night of Navy layer. I also stamped the greeting on a piece of the watercolour wash background and die-cut. Then finished with die-cut butterfly and embellishments.

For the next card, I stamped a background of wheat stalks with Crushed Curry on a Crushed Curry Cardstock layer and the stamped the stalk again a separate piece of cardstock, which I then die-cut. I also stamped the card base with the wheat heads, then layered the Crushed Curry piece over the base, added the ribbon and placed the died cut stalk over top with dimensionals, I added the greeting and some embellishments as well as die-cut wheat heads.

What to do with those inside die-cut pieces from the card I featured today? I made a card using 159889 Ringed with Nature Bundle (English). I love how the one die can be used for a mushroom cap turned one way and a nut the other. Such a cute bundle with such versality and with all the stamps, dies and embossing folder, it is a very good value.

Now Hop on over to the next project and continue around to see what others have as their favourite stamp set or bundle from the July-Dec Mini!
