Christmas in July This Stamping with Friends Blog Hop theme is Christmas in July, I had to use my favourite from the new July-December 2022 mini catalogue. I grew up on a farm that was my grandparents’ homestead so anything farm related as long as it is a realistic image, I am all over it! The Christmas Barn Bundle was the first one that caught my eye and I had to have it. Then since I am a funfold gal, I worked on coming up with something to suit the set. I decided to create a tri-fold with the front two looking like barn doors. I call this the Christmas Barn Funfold   It is a card showing barn doors when the card is closed, see top, opened shows a barn scene and includes a belly band to keep it closed so when you slip it off, the surprise is revealed. Here are the supplies you will need to recreate what I did. stamping with friends blog hop  this week features the 2022-2023 Annual Catalogue Criss Cross tea pocket card   As soon as I saw the new Cup of Tea Bundle and Tea Boutique Designer Series Paper, I knew this was the first purchase I would make from the 2022-2023 Annual Catalogue. Who doesn’t love a cuppa? Well I am sure there are a few but the first thing I thought was I must make a card that would fit a packet of tea and make it look like the packet was in the tea cup. After thinking of different options, I decided upon the criss-cross funfold. It shows off various sides of the lovely designer series paper and a teacup can be placed at the top where the two flaps meet. The packet can be tucked in behind that and it still fits a removable greeting insert with lots of room for a message and you can use the back of it too for a longer note.   Supplies 158667 CUP OF TEA BUNDLE (ENGLISH) 158659 TEA BOUTIQUE 6" X 6" (15.2 X 15.2 CM) DESIGNER SERIES PAPER 159204 2022–2024 IN COLOR™

Our Stamping with Friends Blog Hop theme this time is Bouquet of Flowers  My entry is the Shoji Screen Card I made for my sister's birthday this month. Unfortunately, my photography showed up too many background colours but I hope you can still see the beauty of the flowers. It is true tulips seem more an April bloom but I guess it depends upon where you live. Shoji Screen Card Tulips and Windmills   Card base is 5.5"x11" scored at 2.75”, 5.5” and 8.25” (or turn cardstock and score the last section 2.75” from the other end). The first fold is a valley fold, followed by a mountain fold in the middle and a valley fold at the end. When folded closed, this will give you one panel facing you from the front and one from the back with four panels facing you when the middle is open. If you decide to use a die or punch to create a fancy border at the top, you may wish to leave ¼” – ½” more. This would be a base of 5.75” or 6” x 11” with the goal of a finished height of 5.5"
